Taking the conversations to the highest level, auto industry professionals share their research findings and insights live on stage with the highest-level dealership executives to foster inspiration, progression, and celebration of a better automotive retail industry.
The Most Valuable Insight Competition encourages automotive professionals to provide an innovative insight supported by research and dealer experience that dealer executives can apply to their operations and achieve competitive advantage. Sales Pitches will not be accepted.



How the MVI Competition Works
All automotive professionals are encouraged to participate by completing the online application. There is no charge to apply.
A panel of dealer executives will select four finalists from the online applicants. Those finalists will then have the opportunity to participate in the on-stage portion of the competition at the Presidents Club. Each finalist will have 9 minutes to present his/her insight on stage in front of a panel of dealer judges, ISO Dealer Principals, and General Managers. After the presentations, the judges will join the presenters on stage for a Q&A session. Each finalist will be questioned about his/her insight for up to five minutes. The judges will then score each presentation, and the winner will be announced later in the conference.
The judges will score the presentation on the following criteria:
Insight usefulness & applicability to a dealership / group
Topic relevancy to a dealer principal or GM
Magnitude of results or impact of the insight to a dealership/group
Supporting proof / verification of validity of results
Insight backed by objective facts, data and/or research
Insight originality
Two levels of awards will be presented at the conclusion of the event:
The runners-up will receive a DrivingSales ‘Valuable Insight Finalist’ award including an elegant award, as well as a free license to use the ‘Finalist – DrivingSales Valuable Insight’ logo in their marketing materials.
The finalist who presents the topic that receives the highest score from the panel of judges will receive the title “Most Valuable Insight as Presented by [company name]” and presented with an elegant award, as well as a free license to use the ‘2020 Winner – DrivingSales Most Valuable Insight’ logo in his/her marketing materials. The winner will also have the opportunity to present their findings as a keynote address at the Annual DrivingSales Executive Summit.

Innovation Cup
The DrivingSales Innovation Cup is a contest to uncover the most innovative solution of 2020. All dealership vendors are encouraged to apply at NO CHARGE. A $4,995 fee is assessed to finalists that are selected to present their product on stage at the DrivingSales Executive Summit. Finalists are chosen by a group of dealer judges.
Vendors may submit applications for new solutions that launched, or will launch, in 2020. Applications will open in June and be accepted until early July (dates forthcoming). A panel of dealership judges will select five finalists from the applicants to demonstrate their product on stage at the DrivingSales Executive Summit in October. Each vendor will have five minutes to present their product in an “elevator-pitch” fashion in front of the audience and three of our dealer judges. These judges will have four minutes to ask questions of the presenter and then will score each product.
All Finalists Receive:
-An Engraved Innovation Cup Trophy.
-A Free License To Use The Innovation Cup Logo In Their Marketing For -The Next 11 Months As A “Finalist – Most Innovative Solution Of 2020.”
The winner receives:
-an engraved Innovation Cup trophy.
-a free license to use the Innovation Cup logo in their marketing for the next 11 months as the “Winner – Most Innovative Solution of 2020.”
-the honor of carrying the traveling Innovation Cup Trophy for one year.

Group Meetings
The DrivingSales Executive Summit is the perfect venue to hold an executive gathering or dealer group retreat. To accommodate the demand for OEM make-meetings, dealer advisory board meetings, and Dealer/General Manager retreats, we have opened a limited number of private meeting spaces and altered the agenda format to provide the appropriate time for your group to gather.
Meeting Format
There are two blocks of meeting times available. The first is just prior to the DSES kick off on Sunday, perfect for financial composite review or advisory meetings before the attendees become invigorated with the DSES content. The second block of private meeting time is just prior to the conclusion of the event, perfect for solidifying event takeaways, business planning and goal setting to ensure the education and momentum from the event is put in place at the store.
Private Meeting Costs
There is no cost to reserve private meeting space for sponsoring companies or dealer groups. You will be required to buy a bulk group of tickets, at a discount rate, for your block. We have already booked OEM meetings, advisory board meetings and multiple dealer group meetings. The space is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. We have rooms for a minimum of 20 and maximum of 140 to attend your private meetings. Each group will be responsible for their own AV and food and beverage needs. DrivingSales event staff will be happy to facilitate any special requests.
Breakout Speakers
DrivingSales Executive Summit includes 30 or more breakout sessions. Speakers are selected by a dealer panel. Breakout sessions are not influenced by sponsorship amount or participation, but solutions providers are encouraged to submit proposals for consideration.
